Work-Based Learning is a program within the Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Department that provides structured educational experiences that integrate classroom learning (school based) with productive, structured work experiences (work based), related to a student’s career goals.
Greetings Warren Tech Community,
As an educator who has been in the field for 21 years, it is an exciting time to welcome you to Warren Technical School. As a Work-Based Learning Coordinator, it is my responsibility to ensure that our students are ready and able to meet the 21st-century workforce's demands.
Prior entering the field of education, I worked in corporate America and the field of Cosmetology. Having this experience outside of the K-12 environment showed me the skills that our students will need to graduate and get to WORK! My job is to work with teachers to ensure that happens for all students that enter our building.
I am a lifelong learner and have dedicated time to pursue degrees to prepare me to work with students effectively. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Clark Atlanta University, a Master of Arts Degree in Instructional Education from Central Michigan University, an Education Specialist Degree in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University, and acquired teaching certification from The University of Georgia. I also hold an ESOL endorsement.
My philosophy of education is that a one method approach to teaching does not impact all students. Greater success occurs when education is tailored to meet students' individual emotional, mental, physical, social, and academic needs. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at the information listed below.
I look forward to working with you this school year.
