Welcome to the Wonderful World of Warren Technical School

Principal Neal
Greetings Parents & Students,

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Warren Tech! Since 1987, Warren Technical School has unequivocally continued to uphold its commitment to special needs students in Dekalb County School District by providing an educational opportunity specifically designed to prepare them with the necessary “Skills Today for Opportunities Tomorrow!” We provide students with quality instruction and hands-on experiences required for future careers and opportunities in today’s global economy.

Our mission is to prepare students with self-advocacy, life and employability skills through research-based instruction and career exploration. Students have the opportunity to complete career pathways with a GA BEST employability skills certificate in preparation for post-secondary education and career options. Our rigorous and relevant curriculum is IEP driven and skill based as we serve every high school within DeKalb County School District.

We strive to offer the best Career Tech Pathways that fit the needs of our students including Agriculture, Automotive Service Technology, Business Technology, Construction, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Graphic Communication, and Hospitality Services.  Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to creating a positive learning environment that promotes a student learning and personal growth by working with students and families to build an extraordinary experience that will lead to new levels, new heights as we disrupt for excellence.

All students will participate in Career Tech Student Organizations and will represent Warren Technical School as active members of DECA, FBLA, FCCLA, SkillsUSA, and CTI. These Career and Technical Education organizations are co-curricular with classroom instruction. This allows students opportunities to be exposed to and compete on local, regional, and sometimes national levels.

Here at Warren Technical School, we value students and work very hard to meet the individual needs of students to prepare them for success after school to make a positive difference in their future. That is why I live by the following mantra, “Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day! Teach a man how to fish and he will eat for lifetime!”

I look forward to meeting with each family and student soon! I also encourage students to attend school each day, stay positive and focused on their future goals. I look forward to having a wonderful and productive school year!

As always, “Stick With It, Don’t Quit It, Until You Get It.”

Respectfully yours,

Elgin D. Neal
